Day 13: I'm Not Dead Yet!

After having breakfast by the river, we bid farewell to Cesky Krumlov and began the long ride back into Germany. We were going back to Bavaria to see an old Medieval town called Rothenberg ob Tauber, our last tourist stop on the tour.
Before going to Rothenberg, we stopped at this other city called Nuremberg. This had a mix of old and new. It had a medieval wall and castle, but it had more modern-looking buildings too. There was even this strange fountain with a ring, which according to legend, will grant a wish for you if you turn it three times. While we were there, we got some Spaghetti Eis, which is vanilla ice cream that's supposed to look like spaghetti.
That evening, we got into Rothenberg and checked into our hotel. We would later go have one last big dinner at this German restaurant. We spent some time looking around before going back to the town square for the Nightwatchman's tour. Here, a guy dressed like a medieval Nightwatchman took us on a walking tour of the town, telling of the medieval history of the village. This included the Catholic invasion during the Thirty Years War, the plague, and the lives of certain people in the village, such as an executioner and a baker. After the tour, we returned to our hotel room. I would've slept well that night, but then dad claimed that he saw cockroaches in the room. Because of this, we slept with the lights on. This and the fact that dad was snoring kept me up that night.
